Job Description
- 50% Data Analysis and Testing
- Conduct accurate and comprehensive evaluations focused on noise and vibration phenomena
- Conduct chassis dyno and on-road dynamic evaluations based on testing standards
- Analyze data utilizing multiple acquisitions and vehicle management systems
- Utilize and integrate non-traditional NV transducers or acquisition equipment
- Support model-based development requests as needed (CAE)
- Check data post evaluation for accuracy/integrity based on evaluation requirements
- Export and display data in graphs and tables in multiple formats to meet report needs
- Write technical reports to summarize evaluation results and conclusions as required
- Write comprehensive weekly reports
- 50% Evaluation Preparation
- Operate and maintain test chambers and equipment
- Work in different evaluations areas to support current and future workload
- Data Acquisition systems set up
- Disassembly/reassembly of test parts and equipment required for evaluation
- Perform safety checks on vehicles to ensure safe operation
- Participate in long term planning, group action plans, and safety initiatives
Requirements:
- Associates degree (or higher) or equivalent in an automotive-related field
- Data acquisition or post-processing experience
- MS Office Suite experience (Excel for graphs, Word for reports, and PowerPoint for creating presentations)
- Intermediate full vehicle automotive mechanical skills and knowledge
- Suspension components
- Driveline components
- Powertrain and Engine
- Clean driving record
- 25% travel required
- Chassis dyno evaluation experience
- Broad transducer type experience preferred
- Towing experience preferred
- Machine shop experience (cutting, grinding, welding)
- CATIA experience
